ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. -- The University of North Dakota women's golf team finished its penultimate tournament of the 2023-24 fall slate on Thursday at the Tommie Invitational, hosted by St. Thomas, from the Minneapolis Country Club in St. Louis Park, Minn.
As a team, UND finished third among the three teams competing with a collective score of 944 (+80) over the three-day, three-round tournament. On the individual side, the Fighting Hawks saw five players finish inside the top-20, including one among the top-10.
Senior
Joy Callinan logged her second top-10 finish of the fall slate, firing a 232 to finish tied for seventh. Callinan notched a 74 in the opening round before closing with a 76 to record two of the three-best rounds by a NoDak golfer in the event.
Lily Bredemeier continued to get stronger as the week wore on, shaving a total of five strokes off her scorecard through the three rounds to finish 11th with a 237 while
Emersyn Walker finished right behind her teammate in 12th by closing out her event with a final round 74 to tally a 238.
Kylie Warner and
Gigi Lund finished 15th and tied for 16th with scores of 244 and 245, respectively, and
Carrie Carpenter bounced back from a tough first round to finish just outside the top-20 at 21st with a 254.
North Dakota returns to action for its final tournament of 2023 at the Clash at Boulder Creek from Boulder City, Nev. on Oct. 22-24.
