Grand Forks, N.D. - For the 101st time in program history, North Dakota will square off with South Dakota on the gridiron on Saturday. Kickoff between UND and USD is slated for Noon inside the DakotaDome. The game will be televised on Midco Sports. It will also be carried on the Home of Economy Radio Network with a pregame show starting at 11 a.m.

North Dakota enters the contest with a 6-3 record and 4-2 standing in MVFC play after winning 45-31 at Murray State last weekend. Tommy Schuster went 18-for-23 passing for 279 yards and five touchdowns in the win, breaking the all-time record for touchdowns thrown in a career at UND in the process. Schuster ended the day with 61 touchdowns thrown, shattering the record of Kelby Klosterman (1999-2002), who threw 58 touchdowns in his career. The Fighting Hawks rolled up 507 yards of offense in the win and scored on seven of its 10 offensive possessions.

South Dakota comes into the weekend with an overall record of 7-2 and a 5-1 mark in the MVFC after defeating then-ranked No. 10 Southern Illinois, 14-7, in Carbondale. The Coyotes turned the Salukis away four times inside the five-yard line in the closing seconds to secure the victory. Linebacker Brendan Webb had a program-record four sacks and deflected a pass on 4th-and-goal in the final seconds. The final pass was intercepted by lineman Blake Holden.

The two squads have met 100 times previously and North Dakota has a 64-31-5 all-time lead in the series. In games played in Vermillion, NoDak is 25-21-3, but the home team has won each of the last eight games in the series, with UND's last win in the DakotaDome being a 34-31 overtime thriller on Nov. 22, 2008.
