NOTES: Sea of green set to invade St. Paul for NCHC Frozen Faceoff

ST. PAUL, Minn. – North Dakota makes its return to the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn. to battle No. 7 St. Cloud State in the semifinals of the NCHC Frozen Faceoff on Friday night at 7:37 p.m.

All UND men's hockey games, home and away, can be heard on stations across the Home of Economy Fighting Hawks Radio Network, as well as through the iHeart Radio app, with longtime broadcaster Tim Hennessy and Darrin Looker calling the action. Friday's game can be heard on 96.1 FM (The Fox), the flagship station of North Dakota hockey. 

Friday's game can be seen on CBS Sports Network with Alex Heinert and Dave Starman calling the action. Shireen Starman joins the crew as the pregame, intermission and postgame host. Due to conference airing rights, neither of the semifinals or championship will be available on NCHC.tv.

Friday will be the 146th all-time meeting between North Dakota and St. Cloud State, with UND holding an 80-48-17 advantage in the series.

North Dakota and SCSU played four times during the regular season, with the Huskies holding a 2-1-1 record in the matchups.

This is the fourth meeting between the two sides in the NCHC Frozen Faceoff, with SCSU winning two of the three previous showdowns, but UND claimed the last matchup in the 2021 title game.
