Box Score GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The University of North Dakota women's tennis team notched its second straight victory by a 6-1 score, taking down Marquette on Friday afternoon from Choice Health and Fitness in Grand Forks, N.D.

UND (4-7) jumped out to a 1-0 lead with a pair of doubles victories on the No. 1 and 2 courts to grab the early advantage. The middle pairing of Jule Schulte and Nore Heinitz started it off with a 6-1 triumph before Sapir Sela and Andrea Jansson sealed the start for the hosts with a 6-4 win at the top spot. The No. 3 duo of Lucia Rizza and Aziza Aubin were also nearing a victory, holding a 5-4 advantage when play was halted.

The Golden Eagles were able to get off to a solid beginning in singles action, leveling the contest at 1-1 following a victory at the No. 6 position, but that was the only point they would muster as NoDak notched five straight singles wins to claim the overall match victory.

Sela kept her winning ways rolling at the top spot, battling for a 6-4 win in the opening set before rolling to a 6-0 score in the second stanza while Jansson added a 6-4, 6-2 win at the No. 2 position and Schulte notched a 6-1, 7-6 triumph on the No. 3 court.

Heinitz and Rizza both battled back from defeats in their first sets to record victories in the tiebreaker, with Heinitz scoring back-to-back 6-1 triumphs and Rizza rallying with a 6-3 win and 1-0 victory in a super tiebreak to seal the 6-1 match win for the Hawks.

North Dakota will look to make it three straight wins on Sunday morning against Bellarmine at 10:15 a.m. from Choice Health and Fitness.
