Box Score GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The University of North Dakota women's tennis team capped off a perfect weekend with a 7-0 win over Omaha on Sunday morning from Choice Health and Fitness in Grand Forks, N.D.

The Fighting Hawks have won three of their last four matches, all coming by a 7-0 score, and improve to 2-1 in Summit League play. UND currently sits in fourth in the league standings with three matches remaining and the top-4 teams in the standings advancing the to the Summit League Tennis Championships in mid April.

"I thought we started today's match with great focus and energy," said UND head coach Tom Boysen. "From the onset, we seemed comfortable with our individual and team game plans and tactics."

NoDak jumped out to a 1-0 lead with another dominating performance in doubles action. The top pairing of Andrea Jansson and Sapir Sela started it off with a 6-2 triumph before Jule Schulte and Nore Heinitz capped off the strong start by a 6-3 score from the second court to secure the early advantage.

Heinitz kept it rolling into singles play, extending the advantage to 2-0 with a 6-0, 6-1 triumph at the No. 4 spot before Sela stretched the lead to 3-0 from the top position by a 6-0, 6-2 score to push the match to a clinching point.

"Doubles has been a strength of ours this season, and today was another good effort in that part of the match," said Boysen. "Sapir and Nore jumping out to early leads and getting points on the board so quickly really put a lot of pressure on our opponents."

Jansson once again clinched the win for the hosts, battling for a 7-6 victory in the opening set before a 6-3 triumph in the final stanza sealed the win at the No. 2 court. Schulte, Lucia Rizza and Aziza Aubin all battled for wins in three sets on the No. 3, 5, and 6 courts, respectively, to clinch the shutout victory.

I'm really happy that we were able to pull out some very close sets and matches as well today," said Boysen. "Andrea, Lucia, Jule, and Aziza all found ways to win tiebreakers or third sets, and that bodes well for the team as we will no doubt be in some tight matches to close out our season."

North Dakota will hit the road for a showdown with Denver next Saturday at 2 p.m.
