Box Score KAILUA, Hawaii -- The University of North Dakota men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision at Hawaii Pacific on Friday afternoon to open a two-match weekend on the island.

UND (3-2) fell behind in the early going, dropping the top and bottom courts in doubles play to face an early 1-0 deficit. The middle duo of Ethan Terry and Andrew Hayduke II held a 5-4 lead when play was halted to try and help the visitors regain the momentum heading into singles action.

Reigning Kwik Star Summit League Men's Tennis Singles Peak Performer of the Week Leo Galliano kept his strong play going with another win, moving up to the No. 2 court and grabbing a 6-3, 6-2 triumph to even the contest at 1-1.

That was as close as the Fighting Hawks would get, however, as the Sharks (2-1) rattled off four straight victories on the singles courts to claim the overall match win. Leandro Zgraggen grabbed a win on the top court to close out the hot afternoon in the sun, rallying back from a 7-6 defeat in the opening set to notch a 6-3, 6-4 triumph to earn the second point of the day for the visitors.

North Dakota will look to get back into the win column on Saturday night against Hawaii at 8 p.m.
