UND enters 2025 ranked No. 14, 17 in polls

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – As 2025 gets underway, North Dakota stayed put at No. 14 in the USCHO.com Poll while falling two spots to No. 17 in the USA Hockey/The Rink Live Poll, which were both released on Monday.
 
UND (11-7-1, 6-2-0 NCHC) returned from break last Saturday for an exhibition showdown with Manitoba, potting goals in all three periods to cruise to a 5-0 victory over the Bisons. The Fighting Hawks received goals from five different players while goaltenders Hobie Hedquist and T.J. Semptimphelter each made eight saves to combine for the shutout.
 
The Hawks currently sit second in the NCHC standings with 17 points through eight games to sit just one point behind last season's mark at this point of the campaign.
 
North Dakota gets back into regular season play this weekend with a series against No. 16/15 Arizona State beginning on Friday night at 9:06 p.m. (CT) from Tempe, Ariz. on CBS Sports Network and the Fighting Hawks Radio Network.
