GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Beginning on Jan. 1 against Oral Roberts, the North Dakota men's basketball team will be introducing player trading cards for fans. 16 trading cards will be distributed across six home conference games, with the chance to win an autographed basketball by the team.
Through the first five games of the giveaway (Jan. 1, Jan. 3, Jan. 15, Jan. 17 and Feb. 5), three players on the team will have their trading card given out at each contest, resulting in 15 player cards across the five games.
On Feb. 7, head coach
Paul Sather's card will be handed out, for the last of the 16 trading cards.
The objective will be to collect all 16 cards (15 player cards + coach Sather) and bring them to the marketing table on Feb. 14 against North Dakota State.
Among all participants who have the 16 trading cards, five winners will be announced on Feb. 19 against Kansas City throughout the game. The winners will each receive an autographed, regulation sized basketball. Winners must be present to win.
The trading cards will be given out to the first 200 fans during the six-game giveaway. Below is a full list of the lineup of players/coaches trading cards on each date, along with the giveaway dates and details.
