GRAND FORKS, N.D. – For the final time in the 2026 regular season, North Dakota women's soccer is prepped for a two-match weekend starting on Thursday when South Dakota State comes to Grand Forks, followed by the regular season finale on the road at South Dakota on Sunday.

At 5-8-2 overall with a 2-5-1 Summit League record, the Fighting Hawks find themselves in fourth place of Pod A, making them presently out of contention for the Summit League Tournament in November. However, a clean sweep this weekend could shift the standings in UND's favor as the South Dakota schools are sitting at the top of Pod A.

UND has faced the South Dakota schools a combined 60 times in its history. It's most familiar with the Coyotes of USD, having played them once or twice a season every year since 1999. USD is UND's most-faced opponent in program history, with Sunday's matchup marking the 40th all-time meeting between the squads. UND's 14 wins over USD is the most for the Fighting Hawks against any Summit League opponent.

North Dakota lost the first matches against both teams this season and look to rebound to finish 3-3-0 against Pod A competitors for the year.

Thursday's matchup with SDSU will kick off the weekend. The Jackrabbits enter the match as the No. 1 team in Pod A with a 9-4-3 overall record alongside a 4-2-2 conference tally. SDSU sits No. 2 in the overall standings behind Oral Roberts.
