GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Regular season soccer competition will be officially underway for the Fighting Hawks as they split the opening weekend between road and home games to take on Minnesota and Green Bay.
It all begins in St. Paul as the Fighting Hawks face the Golden Gophers on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium. It marks the fourth-ever meeting between the two teams and the third-ever meeting in the series on the road for UND. Minnesota has won each of the previous three contests, including two on its home field. A livestream of the contest will be available through Big Ten Plus.
North Dakota will then return home for its Sunday afternoon match against Green Bay at 1 p.m. at Bowden Field. It will serve as the sixth-ever meeting between the Phoenix and the Fighting Hawks and the third-ever meeting on home field. UND remains 0-5-0 overall in the series history and lost the previous two contests held in Grand Forks. But in 2025, NoDak defeated Green Bay 1-0 in a home exhibition match.
