GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Senior Aileen Cahill (Blue Earth, Minn.) was named onto the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District VII Volleyball First Team. Cahill was named to the Academic All-District third team last season and is the lone Fighting Sioux to be named to the team for volleyball.
Cahill was named to the All-NCC Honorable Mention team in 2005 and 2006. Cahill finished the season with 211 kills and 294 digs. She became the sixth member in Fighting Sioux volleyball history to reach the 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs mark this season. Cahill carries a 3.88 grade point average and is majoring in Elementary and Middle Level Education. Aileen is the daughter of Terry and Maura Cahill.
