ST. PETER, Minn.--The Fighting Sioux tennis team took five of six singles matches and all three doubles matches on its way to a convincing 8-1 win over Augustana tonight at the Gustavus Adolphus Invite, UND's first victory as a Division I program.

UND's No. 1 doubles pair of Emily Callison (Sr., Mesa, Ariz.) and Brynne Wischer (Grand Forks) opened the match with an 8-2 win over Augie's Emily Gaster and Brittney Gaster. It was Wischer's first victory as a Sioux after spending the previous two seasons at the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Katie Callison (Jr., Mesa, Ariz.) and Tiffany Reisenauer (Fr., Dickinson, N.D.) teamted to defeat Hailey Gunderson and Jill Hagsteun by an 8-2 count in No. 2 doubles.

It was Reisenauer's first career collegiate victory.

Senior Katie Wessman (Fargo, N.D.) and junior Molly Maurer (Hutchinson, Minn.) combined for an 8-4 win over Danielle Gilbert and Emily Johnson, completing UND's doubles sweep.

Katie Callison, Wischer, Maurer, Wessman and Reisenauer each also earned singles victories.

Emily Callison suffered UND's lone singles defeat, falling 6-1 and 7-5 to Emily Gaster.

The Fighting Sioux continue tournament play tomorrow with matches against the host Gusties and Nebraska-Omaha. UND will conclude the tournament on Sunday morning against Minnesota State.
