GRAND FORKS, N.D.--The Fighting Sioux tennis team put the finishing touches on a dominant showing at the UND Invite this morning, defeating Northern State 5-0 at Center Court Fitness Club to finish 3-0 in the tournament.
In the lone doubles match, senior Katie Wessman (Fargo, N.D.) paired with freshman Tiffany Reisenauer (Dickinson, N.D.) for a straight-set victory over NSU's Jessica DesLauriers and Abbey Johnsen, winning 6-0 and 6-0.
UND was equally overpowering in singles play, highlighted by 6-0, 6-0 victories in No. 1 singles by Emily Callison (Sr., Mesa, Ariz.) and in No. 3 singles by Brynne Wischer (Jr., Grand Forks).
Junior Katie Callison (Mesa, Ariz.) cruised to a straight-set win (6-1, 6-1) over Kelsey Lonning.
UND is now off until March 7 when the Sioux host Gustavus Adolphus at Center Court.
