MACOMB, Ill. ? The Fighting Sioux tennis team suffered a 6-1 defeat at the hands of host Western Illinois this afternoon at Brophy Hall.

The Westerwinds captured five of six singles matches and swept all three doubles matches in evening their record at 9-9. UND dropped to 10-8 with the loss.

Freshman Tiffany Reisenauer (Dickinson, N.D.) picked up the lone victory for the Sioux, cruising to a straight-set victory (6-1, 6-2) in No. 6 singles over WIU's Courtney Brooks. It was the second straight singles victory for Reisenauer, who improved to 8-7 in No. 6 singles competition and 8-8 overall.

UND will return to action on Saturday with a rematch against Western Illinois at 4 p.m. at Brophy Hall.
