Houston, Texas --- The University of North Dakota men's golf team wrapped up the Great West Conference Championship tournament on Tuesday in fourth place. The Sioux shot a score of 312 in the last round to finish 333-328-312-973 to finish four strokes behind Chicago State (330-315-324-969) and 10 strokes ahead of South Dakota (324-332-327-983).
Host Houston Baptist ran away with the team title as they had the best round in all three rounds, finishing at 900 (305-300-295).
Texas-Pan American's Armen Kirakossian and Houston Baptist's Jordan Jeffers tied for the individual title at 219.
Freshman Tyler Monda (Brainerd, Minn.) and junior Dustin Steiner (Fargo, N.D.) led the Sioux in the final round as they both carded 78. Monda finished tied for 10th (81-82-78-241) claiming second team all-conference honors while Steiner finished in 13th (84-80-78-242).
