MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- A one-under-par 71 during today's second round as enabled North Dakota sophomore Alex Robb to climb into a tie for seventh-place at the Barefoot at the Beach Tournament, hosted by Appalachian State.
Robb, who shot an even-par 72 to open the tournament on Sunday, jumped from a tie for 11th into a tie for seventh heading into tomorrow's final round. The Chanhassen, Minn., native is tied with four other golfers with a two-day 143.
Kennesaw State's Matt Nagy continues to lead the field with a nine-under 135 (67-68). His Kennesaw State team holds a two-shot leader of Gardner-Webb afte rposting a 565 (284-281).
UND is in 12th place with a 633. The Sioux shaved 11 strokes off of yesterday's 322 during today's second round, posting a 311.
Tomorrow's final round takes place at The Surf Golf and Beach Club.
