DETROIT LAKES, Minn. -- University of North Dakota junior Alex Robb proved to be in midseason form over the weekend, taking runner-up honors at the 79th Pine to Palm Golf Tournament at the Detroit Country Club.
Robb, a native of Chanhassen, qualified for Sunday's championship match after defeating University of Minnesota junior Jon Trasamer on Saturday.
Robb was UND's Most Valuable Golfer in 2010-11after recording a scoring aveage of 75.5 over nine events.
Robb and the Fighting Sioux open the 2011-12 season Sept. 3-4 at Michigan State's Fossum Invitational.
