GRAND FORKS, N.D. - Two-time defending Great West Conference champion North Dakota will get its first taste of live action this weekend as it suits up against a number of former Fighting Sioux for the annual alumni match. First serve is set for Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center.

Highlighting this year's alumni roster is 2010 GWC Player of the Year Erin Joki and UND's all-time career dig leader Lindsay Vortherms. Along with Britta Hanson, the pair helped lead UND to its first GWC conference and tournament title in 2009.

The Sioux will officially kick off the 2011 season next weekend when it travels to Green Bay, Wis., for the Green Bay/Country Inn and Suites Tournament. The home schedule opens on Sept. 2 when UND hosts Montana, Green Bay and Southern Utah for the 2011 UND Classic.
