UND makes the trek to California and Arizona over Spring Break for three with UC Riverside followed by a doubleheader with Dickinson State in Tucson, Ariz., before the WAC opener at Grand Canyon (Mar. 20).
LOOKING AHEAD
After opening the conference schedule at Grand Canyon, UND plays at Northern Colorado (Mar. 27-29) before the home opener on April 2 (vs. Bakersfield).
ABOUT UC RIVERSIDE
The Highlanders are 7-10 on the season after a 9-3 home setback to WAC opponent Bakersfield on Wednesday. Drake Zarate is the Highlanders' top hitter at .369 heading into the weekend. Vince Fernandez is their top power threat with a dinger and a team-best 14 RBI. UC Riverside is led by alum and former MLB'er Troy Percival, who is in his first season as the Higihlanders' skipper.
ALL-TIME SERIES WITH THE HIGHLANDERS
This week's series marks the first-ever meetings between the schools.
POWER WASH
North Dakota's 6-4 win over Washington marked the school's first-ever win over a PAC-12 school. Ryan Reese's three-run blast in the 10th inning proved to be the difference as Jeff Campbell picked up the win in relief, squandering just one run over three innings.

WE'RE GOING STREAKING! (Still!)
Senior Tyler Follis extended his hitting streak to a league-high 26 games with hits in all 10 games this season. He entered the season with a 16-game hitting streak, the longest strung together by a UND hitter last year. Follis is second on the team in hitting this year with a .400 clip and a team-best .571 on-base percentage. He enjoyed a four-hit night, including his first career homer, in the first game at Omaha (Mar. 7). In his 16-game stretch to end last year, he had seven multi-hit games including his second four-hit game of the season. He hit safely in 26 of 30 starts last year.
PASSING THE BUCK
Jeff Dodson notched career win No. 100 in the 6-4 win at Washington Feb. 27, moving him past Gene Roebuck for victories as a UND skipper. He is now third for career wins among UND baseball coaches all-time. Roebuck coached the team from 1990-93 and led the team to the 1993 NCAA North Central Regional. Roebuck was also a Hall of Fame women's basketball coach at UND (1987-2012).

STAFF NOTES
The coaching staff of head coach Jeff Dodson, associate head coach J.C. Field and assistant coach Brian DeVillers have been together for the entire past seasons. DeVillers was a holdover from the previous staff and is entering his eighth season on the UND coaching staff after a standout playing career at North Dakota.
DIRTY DOZEN
North Dakota features 12 players in their senior season on an experienced 2015 roster. The group includes seven starters set to usher UND into the second season in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).
ROAD WARRIORS
The schedule is set for 21 straight games away from home to start the season. In that mix, however, is a doubleheader against Dickinson State on Mar. 17 in Tucson, Ariz. with UND acting as the home team. The home opener comes Apr. 2 against Bakersfield to start an eight-game homestand, part of 19 of the next 25 at Kraft Memorial Field.
2014 HIGHLIGHTS
GOING DEEP AND GRABBING A “W”
Just eight NCAA Division I players hit a homerun and won that same game on the mound in 2014. Jeff Campbell turned the trick in a March 16th 10-4 win at Utah Valley.
NO-NO NOTES
Freshman Zach Muckenhirn flirted with a no-hitter twice last season in a standout rookie campaign. He took a no-no into the fifth on April 26 at Chicago State and etched a perfect game until two down in the sixth on May 3rd at UTPA. He led North Dakota regular starters with a 3.44 ERA and 44 strikeouts.
LEFTY GOING LONG
Freshman Zach Muckenhirn turned in the longest outing by a UND starter in two seasons in his April 19 win at Chicago State last year. The lefty fired a no-hitter through four and had a one-hitter into the ninth inning. After giving up a run in that ninth, the game went extras and he got an out in the 10th to go 9.1 IP, longest since Trent Egan threw 9.2 IP against Minot State in 2012.
CAPITAL KINGS
North Dakota moved its home-opening series with Northern Colorado to Bismarck, N.D. and the all-turf field at Shiloh Christian last year due to snow at Kraft Memorial Field. UND swept all three games from the Bears and improved to 6-3 in the Western Athletic Conference with the wins.
HOW SWEEP IT IS
UND's three-game sweep of UNC marked a first for North Dakota in its Division I era. Since the transition to D1, UND had never before swept a conference series in four years in the Great West and this first year in the WAC. North Dakota also won its fourth straight conference game, a first in the D1 era.
REESE NABS FIRST WAC HONOR
Junior Ryan Reese hit .500 (6-of-12) with a pair of doubles and five RBI in a series win at Utah Valley Mar. 14-16 to net him Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors. He had a hit in all three games and extended his streak of reaching base to eight straight. He became the first North Dakota player to earn this award.
MUCKENHIRN'S DEBUT
Freshman Zach Muckenhirn had a college debut to remember, twirling 6.2 innings without allowing an earned run in a no-decision against Central Arkansas on Mar. 1. He left with a 3-1 lead in the seventh, settling in after two base hits to start the game, squandering just four total hits for the game.
