LAST TIME OUT
Three first-half takeaways all turned into touchdowns as host North Dakota routed 22nd-ranked Montana at the Alerus Center on Oct. 13. The defense set the tone early. Deion Harris picked off Montana's third play from scrimmage and returned it 35 yards to set UND up inside the 10. Nate Ketteringham found Noah Wanzek for a 10-yard strike and North Dakota had a quick 7-0 advantage with the game just 70 seconds old.
Nate Ketteringham finished with 17 completions on 25 attempts for four touchdowns and a pair of interceptions for a season-high 254 yards. It marked the fifth four-touchdown game of Ketteringham's career (all previous at Sacramento State) and first as a Fighting Hawk. Junior James Johannesson registered his second 100-yard rushing game with 108 yards on 16 carries and a score.
Evan Holm led the UND defense with eight tackles and a fumble recovery.

ON THE GROUND IN GREELEY
North Dakota rushed 61 times in the win at Northern Colorado, tied for the most-ever rushing attempts by a team at Nottingham Field. UND's 351 net rushing yards ranked second all-time as the Fighting Hawks scored all five of their touchdowns on the ground, two each from Brady Oliveira and Nate Ketteringham to go along with true freshman Otis Weah's first career score.
OUT OF THE WE-AH!
Freshman Otis Weah got his first career touches in the blowout win at Northern Colorado on Sept. 29. The Moorhead, N.D., native rumbled for 18 yards on his first carry to get it inside the three-yardline. Then, he'd push forward through both lines to find paydirt and his first collegiate score. He helped the Fighting Hawks rack up 351 net rushing yards in the win.

MOORE ENSHRINED
Former UND standout runningback Phillip Moore was enshrined in the UND Athletics Hall of Fame on Sep. 21. The Grand Forks Central grad rushed for a school-record 5,697 yards in his four seasons (1995-98) and added 51 rushing touchdowns, also a school record that still stands.

North Dakota's win at No. 5 Sam Houston State Sept. 15 snapped the nation's longest home winning streak at 21 games, handing the Bearkats their first loss at home in nearly three years (Sept. 19, 2015 to Lamar).
ROAD RANKED RIGHTEOUSNESS
With the win at SHSU, the Fighting Hawks also captured their first triumph against a ranked foe since Oct. 1, 2016 vs. Cal Poly and the first away from Grand Forks since Oct. 3, 2015 at Portland State.
