DELAND, Fla. – The University of North Dakota picked up an important 4-3 win over Florida A&M on Tuesday afternoon in DeLand, Fla. to close out its three-match stint in the Sunshine State with a 2-1 mark.
With the win, the Fighting Hawks moved back to the .500 mark and posted their second win over their last three matches to move into conference play on a high note.
UND needed every point it could get and it started in doubles play, as the Hawks posted wins on the top two courts to jump in front 1-0 over the Rattlers.

Masha Lobanova captured a 6-2 win at the No. 1 position and
Isa Sullivan and Preethi Kasilligam followed with a 6-2 victory of their own to cement the early lead for the visitors.
The middle courts proved tough for the visitors as the Rattlers won matches on the No. 2, 3, and 4 courts to earn their three points, but the top position and the bottom two courts turned in favor of the Hawks to provide the spark to victory.
On the top court, Sullivan rolled to a 6-3, 6-1 win for the second point of the afternoon for the visitors before Lobanova added a third with a 6-3, 6-0 blanking at the bottom position to even the match.
Alex Revenig's triumph on the No. 5 court proved to be the difference as the junior cemented the match with a 7-6, 6-3 victory.
North Dakota opens conference play as members of The Summit League for the first time in program history on Saturday as the Hawks battle Oral Roberts in Tulsa at noon.
