GRAND FORKS, N.D. - University of North Dakota interim head women's basketball coach Mallory Bernhard announced the signing of guards Jodi Anderson (Centerville, Minn./Centennial HS) and Allie McCarthy (Grand Falls, N.B., Canada/Lincoln Prep) to the program Signing Class of 2021.
"I have prioritized recruiting and really feel it has paid off with the addition of these players," said Bernhard. "Both of them have competed at the highest club level on the EYBL circuit with North Tartan and Kia Nurse Elite.
"I love the athleticism they bring, I love their speed, and their length will be instant assets for us," Bernhard added. "They're both very effective and multi-dimensional offensive players. Jodi can play any of our guard spots, and Allie can play four positions on the floor."
The guards are the Fighting Hawks' first signees since "The Magnificent Seven" Class of 2019. A breakdown of Anderson and McCarthy with quotes from Coach Bernhard and her previous coaches is listed below.
UND's 2020-21 roster features three seniors - including Preseason All-Summit League forward Julia Fleecs - three juniors, eight sophomores, and one freshman.
