GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The University of North Dakota women's tennis team cruised to a 7-0 win over Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday afternoon from Choice Health and Fitness in Grand Forks, N.D. 

UND (4-6) grabs its second win over its last three matches to improve back to the .500 mark on its home court in the final nonconference tilt in Grand Forks prior to conference play beginning. The Fighting Hawks were dominant in the win over the Mustangs, dropping only five games in all of singles play to notch the victory. 

NoDak jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in doubles action, grabbing a trio of victories on each court. The top pair of Andrea Jansson and Sapir Sela posted a 6-2 victory from the No. 1 spot while Nore Heinitz and Nyah Kauders rolled to a 6-1 triumph at the second spot and Jule Schulte and Charlotte Bowles followed with a 6-1 score of their own from the bottom position to seal the 1-0 start for the hosts. 

The green and white were even more dominant in singles play, with Heinitz (No. 3), Jansson (No. 4) and Angela Georgieva (No. 6) all collecting shutout wins by back-to-back 6-0 scores. The top and No. 5 courts saw a similar scores, as Kauders picked up a 6-0, 6-1 victory at the No. 1 spot and Schulte followed suit by the same margin at the fifth spot. Sela kept her strong play rolling as of late with a 6-0, 6-3 triumph on the No. 2 court to finalize the 7-0 victory. 

North Dakota will hit the road for a pair of matches to close out February against Valpo on Saturday and Chicago State on Sunday.
