Nebraska takes down North Dakota, 4-0

| By:
LINCOLN, Neb. -- The University of North Dakota women's tennis team fell, 4-0, to Nebraska on Saturday evening from the Dillon Tennis Center in Lincoln, Neb.

The Cornhuskers (4-0) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in doubles action, grabbing victories on the No. 2 and No. 3 courts to take the early lead following two-person play.

It was the middle courts that proved to be the difference in singles play, with Nebraska capturing wins on each of those courts to come away with the 4-0 victory. North Dakota (2-4) did not give up on the other courts; however, as Nyah Kauders held a victory in the second set following a 7-6 triumph in the opening frame at the No. 2 position and Angela Georgieva forced a tiebreaker with a 6-2 win of her own in the middle stanza at the bottom spot.

North Dakota returns to action tomorrow morning against Gonzaga at 10 a.m. in Lincoln.
