GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- University of North Dakota head women's golf coach
Kris Kroetsch announced on Friday afternoon that two of the top women's golfers in the state have signed valid Grant-In-Aid (GIA) agreements to join the Fighting Hawks beginning in the 2026-27 season.

One of the best athletes in the state of North Dakota over her prep career ... Earned all-state honors on the golf course, basketball court and the softball diamond ... Captured the individual state title in golf in 2024 ... Member of the state title basketball team at Red River ... Also earned all-conference honors in all three sports as well .. Has helped Red River to four straight finishes inside the top-3 at the state golf tournament ... Rounded out her prep golf career by placing third individually.

Payton Stocker | West Fargo, N.D. | Sheyenne High School
Also a strong multi-sport athlete at Sheyenne High School in West Fargo ... Shined on both the golf course and ice ... Was a four-time all-state selection in golf ... Also earned five all-conference selections on the course ... Helped the Mustangs grab two EDC team crowns ... Tallied a pair of EDC medalist honors as an individual ... Won the team state title in 2025 ... Reached the state title game on her double overtime goal in hockey ... Has served as a captain for mulitple seasons in both golf and hockey.
