CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The University of North Dakota women's golf team opened up the championship portion of the 2024-25 schedule in Charleston, S.C. at the Oyster Shuck Match Play at Municipal Golf Course.
The event spanned two days and featured eight programs competing in a match-style tournament. The teams played a total of 54 holes, with North Dakota finishing sixth. The Fighting Hawks opened up with a tough, 3-2 loss to Gardner-Webb before bouncing back on Monday evening with a 5-0 victory over The Citadel. UND closed out the event with a 4-1 loss to Longwood in the Consolation Championship.
North Dakota will head to Boulder City, Nev. for the Jackrabbit Invitational beginning on March 10.
