GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Head Coach
Henrik Sohn and the University of North Dakota women's soccer program have announced the addition of Aubrey Wimberly for the upcoming 2025 season.
"We are excited to welcome Aubrey to our program," said Sohn. "Even though she's a late addition, we believe she brings qualities that align with our team culture and competitive goals. She is hungry, hard-working, and eager to make an impact — we're looking forward to getting her integrated quickly."
Wimberly, a Rosemount, Minn. native, will strengthen the Fighting Hawks' back line. A standout defender at Rosemount High School and with Minnesota Thunder Academy, Wimberly earned four varsity letters as an outside back. Her prep career includes Defensive Player of the Year honors as a sophomore, junior, and senior, as well as MVP junior year, two All-Conference honors, and All-State recognition.
She helped her teams compete in the Gothia Cup in Sweden last summer and the ECNL Nationals. Off the field, Wimberly is a member of the National Honor Society and plans to major in criminal justice and psychology at UND.
