ELK GROVE, Calif. --- University of North Dakota senior Amanda Kaler tied for 20th place at the Sacramento State Invitational, which concluded today with 18 holes and the Sioux finishing in fourth place.
Kaler, a native of Fargo, N.D., dropped five strokes of her opening day score for a final round total of 80 which was tied with Kelli Dahle (Bemidji, Minn.) and sophomore Molly Martin (Ramsey, Minn.) for the team best on the final day.
The Sioux had a team total of 342-322=664, topping fifth-place California State-Bakersfield by five (339-332-671). Santa Clara won the team title finishing at 618 who also had the individual medalist in Miki Ueoka who finished two-over-par (75-71=146).
Junior Kristi Lucken (Fosston, Minn.) share the teams second best score with Dahle at 166 which put them tied for 22nd.
Martin and sophomore Lauryn Job (Minnetonka, Minn.) rounded out UND's squad. Martin finished tied for 26th at 170 while Job had a two-day total of 172 to finish in 30th.
