HUNTLEY, Ill. - North Dakota senior
Lauryn Job carded a final-round 77 - the lowest by any Sioux golfer in the tournament - to finish in the top 20 individually at the Huskie Invite hosted by Northern Illinois at the Whisper Creek Golf Club.
Job's final-round 77 enabled her to climb six spots and finish tied for 19th place with five other golfers. A native of Minnetonka, Minn., Job finished the tournament with a two-round 157 (80-77).
The Sioux finished eighth in the 12-team standings with a 649 (320-329).
Brown surged to a tournament championship by posting a final-round 296 that was 13 strokes better than any other score in the round, and enabled Brown to climb over four other teams.
Brown's Carly Arison captured medalist honors by firing a three-over 75 in each round to finish with a 150.
The Sioux return to action Oct. 18-19 at Wichita State.
