NEWTON, Kan. -
Chivas Beaudoin carded a two-over-par 74 in the final round of the Shocker Invitational today, enabling the Sioux sophomore to tie for fifth place at the two-day event hosted by Wichita State at the Sand Creek Station Golf Course.
Beaudoin, a native of Dickinson, N.D., had begun the day already tied for fifth after shooting an opening-round 76 on Monday. She shaved two strokes off of that score today and finished at six-over 150.
Beaudoin and the Sioux placed sixth in the team standings with a 644 (321-323).
Host WSU won the tournament with an 11-over 587 (302-285) and boasted the top three individual finishers, including medalist Gretchen Huhnerkoch and her two-under 142 (72-70).
The meet was UND's last of the fall season. The Sioux will resume play in March at the South Dakota State Jackrabbit Invitational in Primm, Nev.
