EDINBURG, Texas - North Dakota senior Kristi Lucken is tied for seventh place after the opening two rounds of the 2010 Great West Conference Women's Golf Championship. Both rounds were played today at Los Lagos Golf Club.
Lucken began the tournament with an opening-round 83 and followed with an 85 in the second round. The Fosston, Minn., native is tied with Utah Valley's Ericka Baldwin with a 168, 11 shots behind individual leader Haley Hocott of host Texas-Pan American.
Lucken and the Sioux are firmly entrenched in fourth place in the six-team standings after shooting a 704. UND carded a 350 in the opening round and a 354 in the second. The Sioux trail third-place UVU by 20 shots and lead fifth-place South Dakota by 65 shots.
Houston Baptist leads the team standings with a 651 (323-328).
The Great West Conference Championship concludes on Tuesday beginning with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start at Los Lagos Golf Club.
