HAMMOND, Ind. - University of North Dakota sophomore Chivas Beaudoin carded one of the top scores in the field today as the Fighting Sioux wrapped up play at the Chicago State Cougar Classic at the Lost Marsh Golf Course.

Beaudoin, a native of Dickinson, N.D., fired a five-over-par 77 during today's final round, the lowest score of the tournament by a Sioux golfer. Beaudoin finished with a two-day 161 (84-77), good for a 22^nd-place tie in the field of 86.

UND finished firmly in 11^th place in the team standings with a 662 (339-323), 27 shots ahead of 12^th-place South Dakota. Butler overtook IUPUI during the final round, finishing in first place with a 622 (310-312). IUPUI's Kristi O'Brien captured medalist honors with a 146 (73-73).

Sioux senior Molly Martin (Ramsey, Minn.) tied for 29^th with a 163 (82-81) while classmate Lauryn Job (Minnetonka, Minn.) was two strokes behind with a 165 (81-84), good for a 32^nd-place tie.

Following a week off, UND will return to action Oct. 4-5 at the Firestone Grill Cal Poly Invitational in Nipomo, Calif.
