Sioux finish sixth at Creighton Classic

OMAHA, Neb. -- Senior Lauryn Job (Minnetonka, Minn.) led the Sioux for the second and final day of the Creighton Classic at the Oak Hill Country Club Tuesday with a 91, giving her a two-round total of 181 (90-91) and putting UND sixth among seven teams.

Yesterday's lowest Sioux golfer Abbey Rueter (Jr., Sartell, Minn.) came close to matching her score of 85 with a 87 Tuesday afternoon putting her in a tie for sixteenth at 172 (85-87). Rueter's low total didn't apply to the Sioux's team total though as she was competing individually.

The Sioux's other senior Molly Martin (Ramsey, Minn.) bested her score from Monday by golfing an 88 compared to her first-round total of 95 leaving her with a two-day total of 183 (95-88).

South Dakota State walked away with the tournament championship with a 664 (339-325) behind four of it's five golfers finishing in the top fifteen.

North Dakota State's Amy Anderson took home medalist honors by driving home a 147 (78-69).

UND's Chivas Beaudoin (So., Dickinson, N.D.) finished tied for 30th place, Shantel Montgomery (So., Minot, N.D.) finished tied for 38th, and Kate Podolsk (Fr., Oxbow, N.D.) finished 45th.

The Sioux return to action in two weeks at the Great West Conference Championship in Houston Texas April 25-27.
