Goodyear, Ariz. - A day after
Mikki Kromy carded her best collegiate round, teammate
Sadie Martin accomplished the same feat for the University of North Dakota women's golf team in final round action at the Bobcat Desert Invitational.
Martin fired a 73 (+1), which was topped by only one other golfer in the 62-man field at the Tres Rios Golf Course. The junior had three rounds of 74 in her UND career before shaving one stroke off that to post the low round of the season by a Green and White golfer.
UND, who placed ninth in the team standings, was one of only two teams to fire its best team score in the closing 18 holes as Martin's efforts led to a 318 (+30) total.
Kromy would lead all UND golfers with a 54-hole total of 233 (+17) to place 14th after a final round 82 (+10). Martin moved up 17 spots to tie for 24th with a 237 (+21).
Senior Amanda
Fairweather carded her second consecutive 81 (+9) and finished tied for 44th with a 245 (+18).
Grand Canyon (899; +35) ran away with the team title, holding off second-place Montana (919; +55) by 20 strokes.
