ON TAP
North Dakota closes out its home schedule with five games this week. UND entertains South Dakota State Wednesday before a three-game series against New Mexico State beginning Monday.

ALL-TIME SERIES WITH SOUTH DAKOTA STATE
The all-time series with the Jackrabbits is a close one, with SDSU holding a slim 71-65-1 edge. Last season, South Dakota State took two of three games.

ALL-TIME SERIES WITH NEW MEXICO STATE
The all-time series is tied between the schools, 3-3. UND opened its 2009 season (its first in Division I) with three losses at NMSU but swept all three games in Las Cruces, N.M., last season in the regular season finale. This will be New Mexico State's first-ever trip to North Dakota.

I GOT FIVE ON IT
North Dakota hammered five homers in the 18-4 win at Chicago State May 6. It was the most homers in a game for North Dakota since the team collected six vs. New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) on Apr. 24, 2010 (20-19 win in Grand Forks).

I WANT TO RIDE MY MILES-CYCLE
Freshman Miles Lewis hit for the cycle in the May 6 win at Chicago State. He blasted his second homer of the season and added a single right-handed while collecting the double and triple while batting from the left side.

MUCKENHIRN MAKES 'EM TURN
Zach Muckenhirn struck out 10 on May 6th at Chicago State, his third game with double-digit K totals this season. He leads the Western Athletic Conference in punch-outs with 82.

STEAL PANTHER
North Dakota went crazy on the basepaths in an April 26 win vs. UMC, stealing a season-high seven bases. It marked the second-most steals in the Division I era for UND, most since stealing eight at Concordia, April 18, 2009.

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR RESUME BUILDING
Miles Lewis is second in the WAC in hitting at .365 entering the SDSU doubleheader. He is also tied for second in the league in stolen bases (15).

MILES ABOVE THE COMPETITION
Redshirt freshman Miles Lewis has a whopping 17 multi-hit games this season, nearly half of the 38 games he's started thus far. That total is almost double that of anyone else on the team (9- Brett Harrison). He's one of three UND players to notch four hits in a game this season (Ben Reznicek, Ellery Bresnahan) and he's done it twice.

SLAMMING THE DOOR SHUT, LOCKING IT AND PUTTING A CHAIR BEHIND IT
Junior Ellery Bresnahan got UND out of a sticky situation in the ninth in the April 26 win vs. UMC to help him earn his second win of the season on the mound. Bresnahan entered with a runner on and nobody out. He'd strikeout a pair around a hit and got an inning-ending double play on a K and a caught stealing.

WHO'S COUNTING?
North Dakota's win over Minnesota Crookston was its 25th straight win over the Golden Eagles in the relatively short all-time series. The first game between the clubs was just back in 2000 and since, UND has won 31 of the 35 meetings, and every one of them since 2001.

FIFTEEN THERE'S STILL TIME FOR YOU
North Dakota scored a season-high 15 runs in the April 10 win over Seattle. The game featured the two biggest innings for UND this year as well with an eight-run third and a six-run first inning. UND's run total was its highest in its WAC history and most since a 25-5 romp of NJIT on May 10, 2013.

BERG BLAST
Tyler Berg hit his first homer of the season May 1 vs. Northern Colorado, the eighth different UND player to hit one this year. His blast over the left field wall at Kraft was the first North Dakota dinger at home this season.

ZACH WAC
Junior left-hander Zach Muckenhirn leads the Western Athletic Conference in strikeouts with 82 in his 11starts. He vaulted to the top of the league with a career-high 14 strikeout performance back on Mar. 25 at Sacramento State, the most by a WAC pitcher this season. His 82 Ks this year give him 183 for his career, already sixth-most in school history.

Career Strikeouts
1. J.J. Scheving (2000-04)    261
2. Miek Rerick (1995-98, 2000)    231
3. Andrew Thome (2012-15)    224
4. Brett Gadient (1996-2000)    191
5. Corey Nyhus (1969-71)    189
6. Zach Muckenhirn (2014-pres.)    183
7. Jason Schlangen (2002-05)    159

Ks FOR DAYS
Muckenhirn (14) and Brett DeGagne' (9) each set new career highs in strikeouts in the series at Sacramento State. UND starters struck out 26 batters and walked just four combined in the series.

FOUR BY FOUR
Miles Lewis generated four hits in the 7-2 win over Saint Louis Mar. 13. UND has had three players notch four hits in a game this season as Ben Reznicek turned the trick on Feb. 21 at Southern California and Ellery Bresnahan did so at Utah Valley. Lewis duplicated the feat when he hit for the cycle on May 6.

IN THE MUCK
Lefty Zach Muckenhirn, fresh off a three-hit shutout gem at USC in the season opener, again was dominant in his second start (at Alabama). He threw eight innings without allowing an earned run while striking out a career-high 12 at Alabama.

ZACH ATTACK
Junior Zach Muckenhirn had quite the opening night start, blanking the 12th-ranked USC Trojans for a complete-game, three-hit shutout. He struck out a career-high nine in the win, walking just one. It was his second shutout of his career (Apr. 25, 2015 vs. Sac State).

RANK AND FILE
North Dakota's two wins over the 12th-ranked Trojans on the opening weekend marked the first over a ranked team in the team's Division I history.

PAC-12 POPPERS
UND now has three wins over PAC-12 teams in the past two seasons. North Dakota defeated Washington, 6-4 in 10 innings for the first win of last season. UND defeated USC, 1-0 and 5-4 on Feb. 19 and 20 this year for a 3-4 record against the PAC-12 in the past two season.

BACK-TO-BACK JACK
Senior Daniel Lockhert and redshirt freshman Connor Trygstad homered back-to-back in UND's 5-4 win at USC Feb. 20. They were the first homers for UND on the season.

ROCK THE VOTE
UND appeared in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) poll for the first time in school history after the first week of action. North Dakota was among 25 schools receiving votes just outside the top 30.

DeGAGNE' DECISION
Brett DeGagne' was unlucky in decisions last season, getting several no-decisions and earning just one win despite throwing well. The senior righty worked around some jams in a win at No. 12 Southern California to throw 5.1 innings with just two hits and four strikeouts in the win. He worked around four walks and a pair of hit batters, allowing three earned runs in his fifth career win.

PASSING THE BUCK
Jeff Dodson notched career win No. 100 in the 6-4 win at Washington Feb. 27, 2015 moving him past Gene Roebuck for victories as a UND skipper. He is now third for career wins among UND baseball coaches all-time. Roebuck coached the team from 1990-93 and led the team to the 1993 NCAA North Central Regional. Roebuck was also a Hall of Fame women's basketball coach at UND (1987-2012).
