Emersyn Walker Signs With North Dakota

North Dakota head women's golf coach Travis Amendt announced the signing of Emersyn Walker.  Walker hails from Dupont, Washington and Charles Wright Academy where she was a three-sport athlete who also excelled in volleyball and basketball.

Walker led her team to a WIAA state championship as a freshman while also winning individually shooting 69 and 72.  She is a 2019 PNGA Junior Girls Semi-Finalist and placed 6th in the High School National Championship at Pinehurst carding a three round tournament with scores of 76, 71, and 73. Walker's golf credentials don't start there, she won a Futures Champions Junior Tour Event in 2020 shooting 73 and 71 and qualified for the 2020 USGA women's four-ball championship.

A multi-sport athlete Walker garnered all-league honors in basketball and volleyball – with the volleyball accolade being first-team all-league.  Walker plans to study sports administration and religious studies at North Dakota.

Coach Amendt on Walker:
"We are beyond excited to have Emersyn and the whole Walker family join our University. Emersyn is not only an extremely talented athlete, excelling in multiple sports, but her desire to be an active/impactful member of her community makes it such an honor to have her as a part of the UND family. Her tournament success, work ethic, and desire to be the best will help guide this program to achieve things never been done before. Truly a special day!"
