LOOKING AHEADAfter the weekend trip through Seattle, UND heads to Fargo to duel with the NDSU Bison on April 21. North Dakota then returns home for WAC series with Sacramento State and Texas-Pan American with the return trip from NDSU mixed in.
ABOUT SOUTH DAKOTA STATEThe Jackrabbits are 20-13 on the season, including a 9-6 mark in Summit League play. They are led in hitting by Zach Coppola, who sports a .410 mark heading into Tuesday's tilt. SDSU has been solid late in games, tallying a 16-0 mark when leading after six innings this season. The Jacks have won 12 of their last 14, including five straight.
ALL-TIME SERIES WITH THE JACKRABBITSThe all-time series is slanted slightly in favor of SDSU, with the series record of 69-64-1. The teams were scheduled to meet four times last season, but only one made it through the tough weather: a 10-9 SDSU win in Brookings, S.D. on April 15.
ABOUT SEATTLEThe Redhawks currently sit atop the Western Athletic Conference standings with an 11-1 league mark. Seattle has gotten hot in conference play with 14 wins in 16 games after a 5-13 start to the campaign. They are led by Sheldon Stober, who has a .318 batting average with a team-best 26 RBI. Senior closer Kyle Doyle is the reigning WAC Pitcher of the Week after finishing three of Seattle's four wins.
ALL-TIME SERIES WITH THE REDHAWKSThe series with the Redhawks is 2-1 Seattle after last season's series. North Dakota won the opener, 6-5, at Kraft Field, but Seattle rallied for 6-0 and 12-9 wins in the following games.

Tyler Follis now leads the Western Athletic Conference in hitting with an impressive .426 batting average. That average ranks third in all of NCAA Division I at the week's beginning. Already UND's single-season leader in hits (74 in 2012), he has 207 career hits, just 12 shy of the all-time record at North Dakota.
FIRST HOMERSHunter Walsh and
T.J. Pigeon each recorded their first career homers in an 11-1 win over Chicago State Sunday. The duo helped UND rack up seven runs in the eighth inning to gain the run-rule win and the sweep of the Cougars.
UND LEADS WAC IN HOMERSNorth Dakota has 18 homers as a team, tops in the conference. UND slugged four homers in Sunday's win over Chicago State, including
Jeff Campbell's sixth of the season, tied for the most in the WAC individually.
THEY CAN SWING IT UND is also second in the conference in team batting average, combining for a .298 clip thus far.
THOME GETS TO 15Andrew Thome threw 7.2 innings for his 15th win of his career in Friday's 6-4 win over Chicago State. That now puts him into a three-way tie for 8th palce in the UND record book for pitching wins. The leader is
J.J. Scheving's 19 victories (2000-04).
SAVE THE BEST FOR LASTJeff Campbell registered a pair of saves in the series win over Chicago State and now has six saves on the season. He is just one shy of the school mark shared by
J.J. Scheving (2004) and Vince Eastman (1991).
FOUR HUNDOFollis and Campbell are each flirting with the .400 mark midway through the league season. Follis tops the conference at .426 while Campbell is in third at .383.
RUEMM DIETTyler Ruemmele threw three innings of one-hit baseball to close out a win over Minnesota Crookston on April 6. He earned his first save of his career in the win.
FOUR HITSFollis registered his third game with four hits this season in UND's 14-5 win over Minnesota Crookston Apr. 6. He hit his second homer of his career in the victory, an inside-the-park job to right field.
CAMPBELL CATCHES WAC WEEKLY AWARDSenior slugger
Jeff Campbell picked up the WAC Player of the Week for his performance in the three-game sweep at Northern Colorado, Mar. 27-29. He whacked three homers, one in each game, and drove in six for the week.

Jeff Campbell went from seventh to fourth in the UND record book for total bases with his impressive showing at Northern Colorado. He totaled 14 bases to fly past current assistant coach
Brian DeVillers, Todd Wensloff and Tom Montgomery. He now sits just 38 bases shy of second place all-time (Jake Magner- 363).

Andrew Thome pulled a rarity in a Mar. 27 win at Northern Colorado. He struck out four batters in the ninth inning to finish off his 15th career complete game and give him a career-high-tying 11 in the win.
POWER WASHNorth Dakota's 6-4 win over Washington marked the school's first-ever win over a PAC-12 school.
Ryan Reese's three-run blast in the 10th inning proved to be the difference as
Jeff Campbell picked up the win in relief, squandering just one run over three innings.
PASSING THE BUCKJeff Dodson notched career win No. 100 in the 6-4 win at Washington Feb. 27, moving him past
Gene Roebuck for victories as a UND skipper. He is now third for career wins among UND baseball coaches all-time. Roebuck coached the team from 1990-93 and led the team to the 1993 NCAA North Central Regional. Roebuck was also a Hall of Fame women's basketball coach at UND (1987-2012).
