Before UND: 1999 graduate of Minot High School ... Earned three letters in baseball and two in basketball ... Member of 1999 state championship baseball team and 1999 state Class A basketball champions ... Two-time All-Western Dakota Association selection in baseball, was also named to baseball all-tournament team as senior ...
