2014-15 (Junior): Named to the All-WAC Academic Team … Ranks fifth in UND history with a 49.13 in the 100-fly at the 2015 WAC Championships … Also ranks sixth in UND history in the 50-fly with a 23.80 at the Minnesota dual … Earned top-times in the 50-free (21.26), 100-free (46.66), and 200-fly (1:52.38) at the Championships … Earned third letter. 

2013-14 (Sophomore): Recorded three personal bests and finished with two top-10 times in UND history at the 2014 WAC Championships … Ranks sixth all-time in UND history with a 49.62 in the 100-yard butterfly at the 2014 WAC Championships … Ranks seventh all-time in UND history with a 1:51.39 in the 200-yard butterfly at the 2014 WAC Championships … Recorded a personal best in the 50 free at the 2014 WAC Championships … Also recorded personal bests in the 100 back & 100 free at the 2013 TYR Invitational … Named to the 2014 All-WAC Academic Team … Earned second letter.

2012-13 (Freshman): Recorded five of his fastest times at the TYR Invitational (Nov. 16), swimming the 50 freestyle (22.02), 100 freestyle (47.05), 200 freestyle (1:45.38), 500 freestyle (4:45.14), and the 100 backstroke (54.36) … Two of his top times were earned at the MPSF Championship … Earned his first letter.

Before UND: A four-year letterwinner and three-time all-conference honoree (2009, 2010, 2012) at East Ridge High ... Earned all-state honors in 2010 (200 medley relay, 200 free, 100 fly) and in 2012 (200 medley relay, 200 free, 100 fly, 400 free relay) ...  A 200 free section champion in 2009 and a 2012 section champion in both the 200 free and 100 fly ... Member of the USA Swimming Scholastic All-America Team ... Voted the team's MVP following both his freshman and senior seasons.

Personal: Son of Joe and Kathie Koken ... Majoring in marketing ... Father played football at Youngstown State and uncle, Kevin, played at West Virginia.
